Imphal, February 28: A section of Manipur Police Commandos staged an ‘arms down protest’ on Wednesday in Imphal, Manipur.
According to sources, the commandos expressed dissatisfaction with higher officials who instructed them to refrain from taking action following a recent incident of firing at a police officer’s residence.
It was reported that approximately 200 armed miscreants forcibly entered the residence of Additional SP, IW, Moirangthem Amit Singh on Tuesday evening.
The armed men abducted the Additional SP along with his security personnels.
The abduction took place at Wangkhei Tokpam Leikai, located under the jurisdiction of Porompat Police Station in Imphal East District.
