Shillong, Jan 27: BJP State President Ernest Mawrie termed the AITC supremo Mamata Banerjee as a “Pro Bangladeshi” and said that the people of Meghalaya will not accept the West Bengal based political party.

Mawrie alleged that the TMC government led by Mamata Banerjee as the most corrupted government in India.

Mawrie slammed the AITC leader for quoting BJP’s Chief Narendra Modi as an “outsider” and terming BJP as an “outsider party” in which the BJP are opposing.

“How can you give a statement that the Prime Minister is an outsider, in that way she (Mamata Banerjee) is more outsider than him,” he said.

Mawrie also slammed TMC’s We Card stating that the scheme has failed miserably in West Bengal. “People in Meghalaya will not fall for that trap which already failed in West Bengal,” he said.

Lauding the Late Purno Sangma, Mawrie said, “Late Purno won the election at that time not because of the symbol of the party but of his own personality, the Garo people identified him as a leader but not from the party… that is why he formed his own party, the NPP and he (Purno) didn’t stick with the TMC.”
