Shillong, Jan 27: In an unfortunate incident, two persons were injured after their scooter, bearing registration ML 05 B 5515, was involved in a direct collision with a Shillong bound truck. The truck tried to fled the scene but was caught by local police.

This incident occurred at Umsning Bypass in Ri Bhoi District.

According to information available, the incident occurred at Umsning Bypass on Thursday afternoon, wherein the Shillong bound truck with registration number ML 05 S 4493 ramped against the scooter resulting in injuries to the two persons – the rider and his pillion rider.

Also, the truck driver tried to run away from the spot but the Umsning Police managed to nab the truck and registered a case under the motor vehicle act.
