Shillong, April 13: The Joint Director of the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE), M Marbaniang, has clarified that the notifications circulating on social media are fake and that no official dates have been announced for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Arts Stream results.
Two “fake” notifications are currently circulating on the internet – one stating the results will be announced on May 15 and another on May 17.
Marbaniang stated that MBoSE will publicly announce the dates in newspapers and online news portals.
He added that the dates have not yet been confirmed, but similar to last year, the results for both HSSLC and SSLC were announced on May 26. Therefore, this year’s results are expected to be out by the same date. However, the MBoSE Joint Director emphasised that nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet.
When asked if the Board will take action against culprits who created these fake notifications, Marbaniang said that as of now, the Board is busy with paper corrections and has not been able to discuss the matter. However, he urged people not to engage in such activities as it bring unnecessary confusion and panic to students.
