Tura, Jan 16: On the inaugural day of basketball matches at the 5th Meghalaya Games held at Don Bosco College Tura, on Tuesday, the women’s team of South West Khasi Hills (SWKH) emerged victorious over East Jaintia Hills (EJH) with a commanding score of 32-2.
SWKH’s superiority became evident as they took advantage of nine free shots, of which jersey no. 77 successfully basketing 8 of them.

In the Men’s showdown – 1, West Garo Hills took down East Jaintia Hills with a final score of 57-42.
The Men’s showdown – 2 featured a clash between South West Garo Hills (SWGH) and West Jaintia Hills (WJH), with WJH emerging as the victors with a commanding score of 79-49.
In another Women’s match in the day, Ri Bhoi made a decisive victory against South Garo Hills (SGH), with a scoreline of 33-11.
