Shilong, May 2: The Meghalaya Police have issued a warning in response to multiple reports of scammers targeting female students who are waiting for their HSSLC results.

The scammers are reportedly making unsolicited phone calls or sending text messages to these students, falsely claiming that they have been selected for the position of “Air Hostess”, even though the students never applied for such a job.

The Police Department has urged students and parents to exercise caution and be alert to such scams.

They have also asked them to report any suspicious calls or texts, including the phone number of the sender or caller, to the police department as soon as possible.
