Tura, Sep 7: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has selected Meghalaya Football Association (MFA) to host the first ever Hero National Futsal League 2021-22. The State Futsal League is scheduled to be held either in the month of October or November 2021 in Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya.
In a press statement issued on Monday, District Football Association, Tura said, “As directed by the MFA, District Football Association (DFA), Tura will be nominating 2 (two) teams/clubs for participation in the State Futsal League to be held at Shillong from 4th week of September, 2021.”
The Winner of the State Futsal League will get an opportunity to compete alongside top prominent teams of ISL and I-League as ‘Meghalaya Champions’ for the Hero National Futsal League.
In this regard, DFA-Tura in collaboration with District Sports Office, Tura will organize Tura Futsal League for affiliated clubs/associations from 14 – 18th September, 2021 and the finalist will be nominated for participation in State Futsal League.
However, the nominated clubs will have to bear all their expenses and will receive no benefits from the MFA or DFA to compete in State Futsal League.
