Shillong, June 17: In a heart-wrenching incident, two siblings, minors were buried alive in landslide at Nongstoiñ on Saturday morning.

The two minors who lost their lives due to landslide were girls aged 10 and 15 years.

The landslide occurred while everyone was sleeping.

The incident is said to have occurred in Pyndengrei, Nongstoin due to heavy rainfall.

The deceased girls were kids of Alexander Lyngdoh Nonglait (Father) and Beautiful Nongsiej (Mother).

Meanwhile, the West Khasi Hills Police have asked people of the area to avoid these roads & areas in Nongstoin area in view of flood and strong water current:

1. From Nondien to Maiawban which is flooded at Pampor, Nondien.
2. District Council towards St Joseph Hospital
