Jowai, Oct 3: In what can be termed as the first of its kind in the West Jaiñtia Hills district, meritorious students from Amlarem constituency were felicitated on October 02, 2021 at a function at Ka Syiem Jingsuk Hall, Amlarem and presided by Daniel Khongsit, the President of Synjuk Waheh Chnong War Jaiñtia.
During the function the local MLA cum Home Minister, Lahkmen Rymbui was the Chief Guest besides Bayar Kupar Lyngwa, PCCF & HoFF and Idashisha Nongrang, Addl. DGP were the special guests and also present was Abhilash Baranwal, SDO (Civil), amongst others.
Addressing the gathering, Rymbui congratulated the students for their achievement and said this is just the beginning of a journey where dedication and hardwork is the only way to succeed.
He said that as students they should have a goal and the goal he suggested were civil services like IAS, IFS and IPS because the state has produced very few individuals who have completed their UPSC examinations. And even if they dont succeed, they can always appear for the Meghalaya Civil Services.
The Special Guests, Idashisha Nongrang and Bayar Kupar Lyngwa while congratulating the students also motivated and guided them and also urged the students to have a goal and to work and achieve it.
Altogether 128 students were felicitated with momentos and cash award according to their percentage.
