Shillong, July 29: The 2023 edition of the much-awaited Miss Meghalaya and Miss Teen Meghalaya beauty pageants, organized by the Miss Meghalaya Organization under the Meghalaya Youth Tourism Development Society (MYTDS), are set to dazzle audiences once again.
The month-long extravaganza will kickstart with auditions on August 12, 2023, at Youth Hostel Shillong, culminating in the Grand Finale on September 9, 2023, at the U Soso Tham Auditorium.
Beyond being just beauty contests, the pageants strive to celebrate the contestants’ diverse talents and strengths while redefining beauty by placing equal emphasis on qualities like intelligence, confidence, charisma, and compassion. The aim is to create role models who go beyond superficial beauty, inspiring positive change in society.
The pageant journey will feature ten days of grooming sessions, from August 28 to September 8, 2023. Participants will undergo intensive training in personality development, public speaking, and self-confidence, preparing them for potential careers in modelling, acting, or public speaking.
