There is a fluctuating population today; they are coming and returning to their country. The soldiers of Myanmar are coming and seeking shelter, and we used to send them by air with the assistance of the government of India. So far, we have sent around 450 soldiers.”
Over 600 Myanmar army personnel have crossed the border since November 2023 following fierce fights with pro-democracy ethnic rebel groups.
