Nagaland: AK Mishra to meet NSCN-IM top leadership on April 13

Must read

Dimapur, April 12: A meeting between AK Mishra, interlocutor for Naga political issue, and top leadership of NSCN-IM is set to take place on April 13 at Dimapur in Nagaland.

According to sources, the NSCN-IM delegation will be headed by Thuingaleng Muivah.

This crucial meeting is being convened to break the deadlock in the Naga peace talks. The meeting will take place at the Chumoukedima police complex in Dimapur and is considered to be crucial in finding a resolution to the long-standing Naga political issue.

The Centre has taken a stand that the demand for a flag and constitution could be agreed post-solution within some parameters–Naga flag for Pan Naga cultural body and to term the final agreement as Naga “Yehzabo”.

However, the NSCN-IM stands firmly by August 3, 2015 Framework Agreement for an early, honourable and acceptable solution to the vexed Naga political issue.
