Shillong, Nov 14: The NEHU Non-Teaching Staff Association (NEHUNSA) has launched a non-cooperation movement against incumbent Vice Chancellor (VC), Prabha Shankar Shukla, on the “advice of the agitating students”.

“We appealed to both Prof SM Sungoh and Prof Fameline K Marak not to accept the appointments (as Pro Vice Chancellors for Shillong and Tura campus respectively), since this is a last-ditch effort made by the Vice Chancellor to save his chair,” president of the association, Dr WR Synrem, said in a statement issued on Thursday.

He informed that the NEHUNSA has resolved that all its members will not participate in any meetings, directions and policy decisions directed by Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla, Vice Chancellor of NEHU.

“NEHUNSA also directs all faculties holding administrative post such as Assistant Registrar In-charge to comply with the resolution of NEHUNSA,” he stated.
