Shillong, Nov 13: With the aim of improving the vehicular traffic in Pynthorumkhrah and Pohkseh, the Shillong Traffic Police (STP) has decided to make certain changes to the traffic movement in the areas on trial basis.
The trail will begin on November 15, 2023, informed SP (City) Vivek Syiem in a press statement on Monday.
Pynthorumkhrah area:
• No Entry will be imposed at 5th Furlong Bridge (B. K. Bajoria Jn.) for vehicles wanting to proceed towards Pynthorumkhrah Bazaar (Assam Dairy Jn.)
Pohkseh area:
• The stretch of road as shown in the diagram indicated as Point A, B, C & D shall function as a ring-round road i.e., vehicles will be allowed to ply from Point A to B to C to D and to A, respectively.
• No Entry will be imposed for vehicles wanting to ply from Point A to D to C to B and to A, respectively.
