Nongstoiñ Police summons two KSU leaders for checking non-tribal labourers’ documents

Nongstoin, July 22 : Members of the Khasi Students Union (KSU-West Khasi Hills) gathered in large numbers at the Nongstoin Police Station on Monday following the summons of two KSU-Nongstoin leaders.

Hundreds of members and leaders of the KSU came to support these two leaders: President Wilbest Wanniang and General Secretary.

They were summoned for inspecting the documents of non-tribal workers employed at the copper factory in Rwiang and other locations.

Speaking to reporters after leaving the police station, the KSU leaders stated that the summons were issued without any formal complaint, based solely on videos circulated on social media, alleging that the summons were intended to fulfill orders from higher authorities.
