NPP Prez Conrad congratulates party candidates for winning 7 seats in Manipur Assembly polls

Shillong, Mar 10: National People’s Party (NPP) National President Conrad K. Sangma on Thursday congratulated his party candidates for winning elections in 7 constituencies in the 60-member 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly.

“We are confident that our newly elected MLAs from the NPP will affirm their commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Manipur. The NPP accept the people’s mandate with utmost humility. We thank our party workers, including our women wing and youth wing who has tirelessly campaigned for the success of the NPP,” Sangma said in his message after the results of the polls were announced on Thursday by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

“The performance of the NPP in Manipur has increased manifold compared to the 2017 Manipur Assembly elections. We at the NPP are delighted that our vote share has further increased indicating that electorates have shown trust and faith on the ideology of the NPP to protect political-socio-economic interest of the North Eastern States,” the Meghalaya Chief Minister added.

He also congratulated all the winning candidates irrespective of political parties.

The Media & Communications Cell of NPP also congratulated its winning candidates and the people for their support to make NPP the second largest party in Manipur.
“With concerted effort, hardwork and a strong fight, we have emerged as the second largest party in Manipur. Our vote share has increased considerably with the support and love from the people, and we would like to thank them for the trust they bestowed on us. We would also like to congratulate the winning candidates and wish them the best so that they are able to live up to the expectations of their electorates with sincere and dedicated work,” it said in a press statement.

The party also congratulated the BJP for their landslide victory, which won 32 seats in the house of 60.
