“We were very happy to see the enthusiasm among the participants who took part in the camp. We truly see future bright athletes for shooting sports in the region,” said Walsal G. Momin, Publicity Secretary of WGHSA Tura, in his remarks to Hub News.

The camp aimed to introduce aspiring shooters to Olympic-style events while identifying and nurturing potential talent for future state and national-level competitions.

Looking ahead, WGHSA announced plans to hold more such camps across the region to expand grassroots participation and build a strong talent pool in shooting sports as Meghalaya prepares to host the 2027 National Games.
