Tura, April 14: The first-ever All Garo Hills Sub Junior (Kyorugi) Taekwondo Championship 2023 kicked off at the Indoor Sports Hall in Tura on Friday. The championship, organised by the West Garo Hills Taekwondo Association in collaboration with the District Sports Officer of Tura, saw the participation of over 100 junior participants from the five districts of Garo Hills.
The two-day championship is aimed at providing a platform for young taekwondo enthusiasts to showcase their skills and compete with other talented players from the region. It was a highly competitive tournament, with participants displaying their agility, speed, and strength in the sport.
The first day of the championship saw a large number of participants competing in various weight categories, including flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight. The bouts were intense, with participants giving their all to win and advance to the next round.
The championship will conclude on Saturday, and the winners will be awarded with medals and certificates for their outstanding performance.
