Shillong, Feb 10: United Democratic Party (UDP) leader and Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui on Thursday said the performance of the MDA government has attracted political leaders to support and join the ruling alliance.

Speaking to reporters, Rymbui said it was the choice of the individual legislators of the Congress to support the MDA government.

“May be they have seen that in spite of many criticisms from all quarters the MDA government has performed far better than any government in the past. This becomes an attraction for other legislators to join the MDA government,” he added.

Rymbui, however, said whether the choice or the decision made by the Congress is right or wrong, he would leave it to them.

He further refused to comment on the Congress and BJP working together and said, “I am not the spokesperson of the BJP so I don’t want to comment anything on that but let us wait and watch.”
