Tura, Oct 2: The District Sports Office organised a road run (marathon) with the theme “Garbage Free India” on Monday on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
The run started at 6:30 a.m. at the P.A. Sangma Stadium in Dakopgre.
The marathon was for 15-year-olds and above, and more than 150 people, both male and female, took part. The run started at P.A. Sangma Stadium and will end at the same point.
The winners will be awarded medals and prize money of ₹5000, ₹3000, and ₹2000 to the 1st, holders, and 3rd place holders, respectively.
