Tura, Sept 9: PRIME Hub, Tura, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP), successfully organised the first-ever Mentors’ Clinic for Entrepreneurs in Garo Hills, marking a milestone in strengthening the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The half-day clinic, held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, brought together 30 entrepreneurs alongside students from the Entrepreneurship Cells of NEHU and Williamnagar Government College.
The event created a direct platform for innovators, business owners, and aspiring students to seek expert guidance on business operations, compliance, funding opportunities, and strategies for growth.
The clinic was facilitated by a panel of mentors with both domain expertise and local understanding:
* Dr. Dan A Sangma, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Capt. Williamson State University, who provided academic insights into commerce, finance, and enterprise development.
* Smti. Tangme Ch Marak, Assistant Commissioner of Food Safety, West Garo Hills, who guided entrepreneurs on regulatory frameworks, food safety, and compliance.
* Smti. Chonkame R Marak, entrepreneur and mentor, who shared grassroots perspectives on building sustainable businesses in the region.

The interactive sessions created an open environment for problem-solving, where entrepreneurs received personalised mentoring to refine their ideas and overcome operational challenges. Students gained valuable exposure by engaging with mentors and entrepreneurs, sparking new aspirations to pursue entrepreneurial paths.
PRIME Meghalaya representatives stressed that the Mentors’ Clinic will become a recurring platform, ensuring entrepreneurs in Garo Hills have consistent access to expert guidance.
“The Mentors’ Clinic is more than a session—it’s a movement. By making mentorship accessible, PRIME and IIMCIP are ensuring that entrepreneurs in Garo Hills have the tools, networks, and confidence to scale their ideas. We hope this initiative will inspire greater collaboration and strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit across the region,” said Leah Momin, Centre Manager, PRIME Hub – Tura.
