Shillong, Jan 28: Meghalaya Cabinet on Thursday decided to revise the registration rates for fancy numbers for vehicles. Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that the move will increase annual revenue collection to the tune of Rs. 7 cr for the transport department.

The revised rates are – ML- 0001 from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1 lakh, ML- 0002 from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 50,000, ML-0003 from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 50,000, ML-0007 from Rs. 30,000 to. Rs. 70,000, ML-0009 from 30,000 to Rs. 50,000, ML-0786 Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 70,000, ML -1111 from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 50,000 and rate for jumping number above 100 to be increased from Rs. 3000 to Rs. 5000.
