Raymond Kharjana set to be new KSU chief uncontested

SHILLONG, APR 16: The Election Committee of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) on Thursday declared three top posts ‘uncontested’ for the upcoming 16th KSU central executive committee (CEC) election, slated to be held on May 9.

Raymond Kharjana, a graduate in Computer Applications, is all set to be elected as the new KSU chief uncontested while Pynkmenlang Sanmiet, a research scholar of law and Reuben Anderson Najiar, a law graduate as new vice president and new general secretary respectively.

This was after the Election Committee, appointed by the KSU-CEC to conduct the polls, on April 15 completed the scrutiny of documents of the 38 candidates who will contest for the 10 posts in the 16th KSU CEC election.

Polling will be held at Dinam Hall, Jaiaw from 7am to 3 pm.
