SHILLONG, JAN 17: Cabinet Minister and BJP legislator from South Shillong Sanbor Shullai on Saturday inspected ongoing projects in Madan Laban, including road construction and a football ground development.
The inspection was conducted with officials from PWD, Water Resources, and Sports departments, along with local leaders.
Shullai reviewed the road construction progress, noting that Rs 11.23 crore has been sanctioned for the project, including Rs 4 crore for road widening and Rs 6 crore for an artificial football turf.
He also inspected a collapsed retaining wall at the football ground and directed officials to start work on a check dam and water supply system, estimated at Rs 2 crore.
“This project will greatly benefit the local community, especially school children who use this road daily,” Shullai said.
He emphasized the importance of timely completion, stating, “I will ensure these projects are completed as soon as possible”.
