SHILLONG, MAY 8: HSSLC topper in commerce stream Ferry Filarisha Wann said work hard and work smart are important to achieve success.
The student of St Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong secured 472 marks.
“I feel very happy and very grateful to my teachers and parents for supporting me mentally, physically and emotionally. I did not expect to be a topper but this was possible because of them,” Wann stated.
She said her mantra of success is work hard and work smart.
“I went through a lot of solved question papers”. She also recommended the need to be mentally prepared while writing examinations.
Talking about the negative impact of social media, the topper said, “social media is a big distraction and they are like biggest enemies for studies. I got really distracted but you have to remember that your studies should always come first.”
Sharing her future plans, Wann said that she would join B.Com and side by side preparing for competitive examinations.
An elated principal of St Mary’s Sister Sonia Chacko took the opportunity to extend her heartfelt congratulations to the students, who has achieved remarkable success by securing top positions in the commerce stream examination.
