Imphal, Aug 27: The Global Manipur Federation Central Europe Chapter conducted a solidarity peace prayer in the Hague, Netherlands, on Saturday to end the ongoing conflict in Manipur and restore normalcy and peace in the state.
A peace prayer was organised from 14:00 to 16:00 in front of the historic Peace Palace.
The members of the Manipuri and Indian communities in Central Europe took part as peace ambassadors to heal their troubled homeland.
This was organised on the 116th day since the violence erupted on May 3, 2023, in Manipur.
The Peace Prayer commenced with a reverent two-minute silence, followed by poignant narratives that shed light on the challenges faced by Manipur during this crisis.
A collective and resounding call for peace resounded as attendees earnestly sought the restoration of normalcy for affected victims and civilians entangled in the distressing circumstances.
The event reached its zenith with a symbolic walking rally from the Peace Palace to Lange Vijverberg, signifying an unwavering commitment to champion peace across all available platforms.
