SHILLONG, DEC 16: The Family Strengthening Programme (FSP) of SOS Children’s Village Shillong has initiated a campaign to eliminate child marriage in India, in line with the Ministry of Women and Child Development’s launch.
The campaign, supported by the District Child Protection Unit, District Legal Services Nongpoh, and other organizations, aims to create awareness about the need to end child marriages.
A rally was organized in Bhoirymbong, R-bhoi district, on December 13, where participants sensitized the public about the issue.
SOS Children’s Village Shillong is committed to ensuring a safe environment for children and will continue the campaign from January 2026.
The organization is working with various stakeholders to prevent child marriage and promote children’s rights.
The campaign is part of SOS Children’s Village Shillong’s efforts to protect children and provide them with a supportive environment.
