Jowai, Dec 9: The MLA of Mowkaiaw Constituency, Nujorki Sungoh on Friday laid foundation stones for the construction of two schools at Mowkaiaw where he informed that in Mowkaiaw Village alone he has brought developments worth Rs. 10 crores.

This Rs. 10 crores includes Rs. 5 crore for road construction in Mowkaiaw, about Rs 4 Cr for the construction of new building of the Mowkaiaw Govt L.P. School which was established since 1939 where the building is estimated at Rs. 44 lakhs and the Govt U.P.School Mowkaiaw estd since 1957 which was sanctioned to be constructed at Rs. 3 crores.

Sungoh informed that on the 13th of this month he will inaugurate the Police Outpost at Barato to ensure safety in the bordering villages with Assam.
