Imphal, June 10: In a major development ahead of the Chief Minister’s scheduled visit to Jiribam District later today, an advance security team was ambushed near K. Sinam Village this morning.

Initial reports indicate that at least two security personnel have been injured in the attack. However, the exact number of injured individuals is still unknown as the situation is evolving.

Authorities have yet to determine who was behind the ambush. Security measures are being intensified in the area.

Ambush on security forces ahead of Manipur CM Biren Singh’s visit to violence-torn Jiribam in Manipur.

Suspected militants ambushed the security personnel near Kotlen. The CM was not in the motorcade. Though the CM was to visit Jiribam today by helicopter, his motorcade was sent earlier.
