The Rajabala unit of the Achik Community and Health Initiative Committee (ACHIK) has appealed to the Public Works Department (PWD) Minister for immediate repairs to the severely deteriorated Rajabala - Selsella Road in West Garo Hills district.

The election for the zone was held on June 29, 2024 at the Garo Union Secondary School, Shillong. A’chik students and regional units, took part in the electoral process.

Garo organization ACHIK has questioned the lack of development in today’s modern day era citing the example of Dajigre village under Chokpot Civil Sub-Division of South Garo Hills, that is just 26 kms away from Tura town, where people still do not have basic amenities such as drinking water, health care or even a road.

The A’chik Conscious Holistically Integrated Krima or A. A•CHIK organization in Garo Hills has moved the Conrad K Sangma government in the state calling for the creation of Kharkutta community and development block area into a full-fledged civil sub-division.
