The beaches of Baghmara town in South Garo Hills came alive with traditional beats at this year's two-day Tyisam Festival which kicked off on Wednesday at the Simsang Golden Beach, drawing record crowds from across the region.
The festival, named "Tyisam," holds cultural significance as it translates to "by the river side" in the language of the Atong sub-tribe of the Garo people.
