The state government has decided to urge the Centre for sanctioning of more projects for the economic development of the people residing along the international border with Bangladesh.
In a well-planned operation on Monday, the vigilant troops of BSF Meghalaya successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt along the International Border in West Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya.
A joint coordinated patrolling will be conducted by Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) along the borders to curb infiltration, exfiltration, smuggling and hostile activities.
