Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has informed that the government is trying to find ways and means to resolve the issue of land acquisition to pave way for completion of the construction of fencing along Indo-Bangla border.
The state government has decided to urge the Centre for sanctioning of more projects for the economic development of the people residing along the international border with Bangladesh.
In a well-planned operation on Monday, the vigilant troops of BSF Meghalaya successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt along the International Border in West Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya.
A joint coordinated patrolling will be conducted by Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) along the borders to curb infiltration, exfiltration, smuggling and hostile activities.
