At least eight people, including a tribal song composer and a village defence volunteer, lost their lives and at least 20 others were injured in Manipur’s Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts till Thursday after a gun fight between Kukis and Meiteis started three days ago. According to reports, two people died in Meitei-majority Bishnupur district on Thursday, while three died in adjoining Kuki-Zo-dominated Churachandpur district.
