Former Tura Legislator John Leslee K Sangma has written to the Expert committee reviewing the Job Reservation Policy suggesting that the quota for the Garo community, which stands at 40 percent reservation, ought to be raised to 50 percent since the tribe has never enjoyed the full benefits of the policy when it came to employment in government jobs.
