The women's wing of the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has issued a strong warning to launch a series of agitations if the army fails to locate and rescue Laishram Kamalbabu Singh, a 56-year-old man missing since November 25 from Kangpokpi district.
Singh said police has been asked to secure the release of two Meitei youth who were kidnapped by armed militants in ethnic-violence hit Manipur's Kangpokpi.

In two separate joint operations by the Security Forces, large quantity of Arms and Ammunition were recovered from Kangpokpi and Bishnupur districts of Manipur. The operations were launched based on specific inputs about presence of arms cache and explosives on Wednesday, a report said.
