Singh said police has been asked to secure the release of two Meitei youth who were kidnapped by armed militants in ethnic-violence hit Manipur's Kangpokpi.
The woman, identified as Ngangbam Surbala, 31, was brought dead at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in the state capital Imphal, 45 km from Kangpokpi.

In two separate joint operations by the Security Forces, large quantity of Arms and Ammunition were recovered from Kangpokpi and Bishnupur districts of Manipur. The operations were launched based on specific inputs about presence of arms cache and explosives on Wednesday, a report said.
