The Hynniewtrep Border Disputes Redressal Forum (HBDRF) has sought the intervention of the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma into the alleged demand by the Socheng Amreng Border Development Committee (SABDC) for land registration and re-establishment of the entry tax gate at Khanduli village in West Jaintia Hills District.
The meeting was held to restore and maintain peace amongst the Pnar and the Karbi Community especially after misunderstandings crept up following the establishment of the Check Gate at Khanduli by the KAAC and subsequent economic boycott called by the Pnar Community of Khanduli Village.
Talking to reporters on Friday, he said he has taken up the matter with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and was hopeful of resolving the issue very soon.
