The demand for the inclusion of the Khasi language in the Eighth Schedule of Constitution of India once again reverberated in the air of national capital New Delhi as all sections of society, in unison, cried out for their voices to be heard by the Union Government.
Intellectuals from various sections, including learned professors, scholars, and researchers from the country’s top universities, as well as pressure groups, were in attendance at this national seminar.
Lyngdoh told reporters that the state Assembly had adopted a resolution recommending very strongly for inclusion of the Khasi language in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution.
