Vigilante groups have become active in different localities of Manipur after ethnic-violence resulting in distrust between the two communities in the state.
In significant development, security forces in Manipur have recovered 790 sophisticated and automatic arms along with 10,648 ammunition that were looted from the police during ethnic riots that broke out on May 3.
Protestors also said that despite Union Hime Minister Amit Shah's visit to the state, the community was not feeling safe in Manipur as the state administration and the security forces were not able to help or protect them
