The state government will soon frame rules for implementation of the Meghalaya Official Languages Ordinance, 2026, which grants official status to Khasi and Garo languages alongside English, Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Parliamentary Affairs Prestone Tynsong said on Tuesday.
