The Chairman of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of NEHU, Prof. Lakhon Kma, has issued a stern warning to disclose the alleged irregularities involving the University's Vice Chancellor, Prof. PS Shukla. The focal point of contention revolves around the appointment of Rohit Prasad as Senior Technical Advisor, a position that, according to Prof. Kma, was filled without proper advertisement of the post.
The Joint Action Committee (JAC) has demanded that the salary which has been paid to Rohit Prasad, who they alleged was illegally appointed as technical officer/senior consultant, should be recovered from the salary of NEHU Vice-Chancellor Prof Prabha Shankar Shukla with no expense borne by the university.
