The event was attended by prominent figures including GSU president TengchaTengsak Momin, Father, and Pastor Insting Marak, who joined the solemn candlelight vigil service.
“Well we don’t know what will be the hidden agenda but there may be some designs by the outside forces inimical to the interest of the indigenous peoples of the different states of the NE region,” he added.
In a statement issued on Thursday, NESO said it will hold a candlelight vigil in all state capitals on June 28, appealing all to shun violence so that peace and tranquillity will once again prevail in Manipur.
