The bridge was badly damaged and as a result no vehicles could pass through the bridge. The locals initiated the action and constructed a makeshift road for the movement of the vehicles.
CoTU's Information & Publicity Secretary, Thangtinlen Haokip, stated that the shutdown reflects condemnation of Manipur police and Meitei terrorists in Moreh against innocent civilians.
