Following the decision to stop supply of oil and petroleum products to Meghalaya by the North East Petroleum Mazdoor Union (NEPMU) alleging harassment by Meghalaya Police in Ri Bhoi district, Minister in-charge Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, Coming One Ymbon, on Tuesday asked people of the state not to panic as the state has sufficient stock of petrol and diesel.
Following alleged harassment by Meghalaya Police against oil tanker drivers along the National Highway in Ri-Bhoi district, the North East Petroleum Mazdoor Union (NEPMU) has decided to halt the supply of IOCL, BPCL, and HPCL petroleum products to Meghalaya starting from November 29, 2023 (Wednesday).
