Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Monday told the Assembly the government will send researchers to Cambodia to study links between Khasi and Mon-Khmer groups through DNA testing and linguistic work.
Arts & Culture Minister and BJP legislator from South Shillong Sanbor Shullai, accompanied by the state party president and senior leaders, met Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at his residence in New Delhi requesting the Centre to initiate various cultural schemes in Meghalaya to safeguard the traditional Seng Khasi, Seng Raid, and Songsarek Garo cultures.
