Deputy chief minister in charge Urban Affairs Sniawbhalang Dhar on Tuesday informed that eighty percent of the work for 17 projects implemented under the Smart City project will be completed within this year.

The Integrated Command & Control Center (ICCC) under the Shillong Smart City Project funded by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India will be completed soon and Rs 151.77 crore is being allocated for the entire ICCC not as claimed by a social media post mentioning that Rs 150 crores is for 300 CCTVs.

The much-awaited Laitumkhrah market complex constructed under the Smart City project is targeted to be completed by February next year.
