The vigilant troops of 193 Bn BSF Meghalaya seized clothing items like sarees worth Rs. 42 lakhs, which were meant for smuggling into Bangladesh from the international border of Meghalaya.
The Border Security Force (BSF) of Meghalaya foiled an attempt of cattle smuggling by seizing two cattle that were brutally crammed into two Alto cars. The cattle were meant for smuggling to Bangladesh through the bordering area of East Jaintia Hills.
Also, in another joint operation, the Radhanagar Battalion of Assam Rifles with Jirighat Police Station launched an operation and seized a substantial quantity of heroin with an estimate value of Rs. 1.1 crore.
