In a move to enhance accountability and administrative oversight, the Government of Meghalaya has mandated that all Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers submit their daily attendance through the Teacher Information Management System (TIMS) app.
"The CM Impact is a mission mode project, not a long-term one, so we expect results soon. The idea is to provide resources, such as the Diet Book—a question bank and set of concepts designed for students who need targeted help on specific topics," Tembe said. He also emphasized the introduction of remedial classes under the CM Impact initiative.
The students participated in pilot training interventions under SPARK (School Programmes in Articulation, Resilience, and Kindness), organized by the Department of Education, Government of Meghalaya, and Samagra Shiksha - State Education Mission Authority of Meghalaya (SEMAM).
The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Meghalaya, B.D.R.Tiwari while addressing the media said the Election Commission of India in view of the forthcoming election Lok Sabha 2024 has come up with this idea of collaborating with the education department, for the larger participation and especially to create awareness among the young voters and to activate the electoral  literacy club in the School and colleges.Â
Addressing media persons, MSSASA president Aristotle C Rymbai said the association had submitted a representation to the chairperson of the State Education Commission on October 1, 2023 for creation of posts and shifting of 12541 existing SSA teachers from State Implementing Society to State Education department on regular basis as per provision of RTE/SSA norms.
