Tripura Chief Minister Prof (Dr) Manik Saha on Monday presented a sweeping plan to transform infrastructure and connectivity across the Northeast as he chaired the third meeting of the High-Level Task Force (HLTF) on Infrastructure, Logistics Cost and Connectivity in the North Eastern Region (NER).
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said the state has undertaken a ₹1,400 crore externally aided project dedicated exclusively to the development of tribal areas.
On Tuesday, he took time out from his busy schedule to perform a successful operation on one of his former students, an MBBS doctor, who had suffered a Right Sub-Condylar fracture in a recent two-wheeler accident.
During this special visit, Chief Minister Saha engaged with the inmates, showing genuine concern for their well-being, and further brightened their day by personally distributing fruits as a kind gesture.
During interaction, the villagers informed the Chief Minister that a portion of the barbed wire fencing of India-Bangladesh international boundary got damaged due to erosion of the river and following which they were facing problems.
