Social Welfare Minister Paul Lyngdoh on Tuesday appealed to the dorbar shnong to work with the government to combat the menace of drugs by forming the village defence parties (VDPs) in their respective localities.
Over 60 dorbar shnongs of greater Shillong have unanimously agreed to constitute the village defence parties (VDPs) for assisting the government in the fight against the drug menace in the state.
