Sikkim has planted over 1,15,000 trees since World Environment Day, which was celebrated on June 5.

Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma, on Tuesday called on citizens to take ownership of protecting the environment by partnering with the government. “Don’t be part of the problem, be part of the solution,” he exhorted.

The event, held in the picturesque Mandalgre village on 5th June, embraced this year's theme, "Solutions to Plastic Pollution."
